Hands down...these are the best fireworks in the area. Bob's parents had Cindy and I over for supper on the evening of Keloose. After supper we went down to the ball field where some bands were playing. Bob's daughter April won Keloose Idol 2010 and sang for over 200 people this night as well. She did great. After the music, we went back to Bob's parents house on the lake and watched the fireworks. Here are some more pics...

My dad dropped by on June 30th for some BBQ and as we walked out on to the back deck we saw a robin (mother) chirping like crazy. We figured that there must be a nest around somewhere due to the excessive chattering of the bird. We looked around and found a nest on one of the support beams under our back deck. Over the next 14 days, I took a sequence of videos and pictures through the floorboards with my Nikon D90. The baby on the left at the beginning of the video is no more than 20 minutes old. This video and set of pictures cover the 14 days from the last egg hatching to the last robin leaving the nest.

We went to Johns house for a few beers and some birthday cake. As normal we had a blast and as normal I had my camera. I couldn't resist getting a few shots of John, Nicole and their little girl.
After everyone went home, John and I did a little target practice with an airsoft springer pistol and a beer bottle. While we were outside, I grabbed a star trail and found the rotational point of the sky.

We went out to see the Hupman Brothers (http://www.hupmanbrothers.com) play on the waterfront in Halifax for Natal Day.
They put on a great show as normal.
There were a few bands playing in the Alexander Keiths Beer Tent so they only played for about an hour.
After playing, they packed up and went to play another gig at Bearlys. We went and got some food at Murpheys...mmmm chowder.
We then walked along the waterfront back to the car.
On the way home, the moon looked really cool over Bedford Basin.
